3i has a range of natural antioxidants that can be labelled as clean and friendly. The applications can be widely used in vegetable oils & fats, animal and marine fats, margarine, spreads and sauces, frying oils/ fats, deep frying and extruded snacks, pet food, baked goods, cereals, beverages, confectionary, dairy, soups, dressings, sports drinks, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and much more.

3i’s Antioxidants had a growing interest owing to their protective roles in food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical products against oxidative deterioration and in the body and against oxidative stress-mediated pathological processes. Besides, Antioxidant can provide protection from endogenous and exogenous oxidative stresses by scavenging free radicals.

There are also synthetic antioxidants that can be offered by 3i for similar applications.

The antioxidants are available as oil soluble, water soluble and both oil and water soluble. The antioxidants can be liquid, paste or powder. The products are produced and packed with extreme care to give maximum benefit of application for the customer.

The primary role that these Antioxidants play is to protect the nutritional quality of the food product through-out the shelf life period of the product. In these instances, the Antioxidants added can extend the shelf life of the product. The Antioxidants function to prevent/ retard oxidation thus preventing spoilage of the food and indirectly enhances the shelf life of these products.

The Antioxidants in 3i portfolio also plays a key role in maintaining flavor and color stability. Food such as in fresh beef or poultry meat exposed to light and temperatures can promote discoloration and off taste of flavors. Antioxidants can play a role in arresting free radicals in these foods so as to minimize any off taste or discoloration... thus making these foods having a better shelf life and making it of course more palatable .
